Two other straight roles occur to me (off the top of my head): the Old
Duke in series 2 of Nanny, and the retired General (?Colonel) in
The Camomile Lawn.
No one has yet mentioned Elizabeth Bennett (first PA to D Ops) in
Summer's Lease (just in episode 1, I believe), as the husband's bit
on the side, and in series one of the sitcom Home to Roost (which starred
John Thaw and Reece Dinsdale) as the housekeeper.
