Not sure I understand what you find foreign about that phrase - could you
supply more context? Sounds like something I say.
As a personal aside, I tend to pick up odd phrases and pronunciations,
either from proximity or perversion, and I'm bawn and bred Pacific
Northwest, Washington State. Like 'shedyule' instead of 'skedjl'
(schedule), or using "ya'll" because it's convenient, or saying 'aboot'
after visiting Vancouver. Someone living in England is likely to become
affected by their environment, including the accent.
I, too, thought that Ross was played by a Brit, until Mickey found his
bio in the Brit actor's directory. He's from Nebraska. He was on a very
bad movie-sequel-to-a-TV-series (MacGyver?) last year, playing an ex-CIA
station chief.
