Turns out there are Three Bravo channels which are independant of each
other:

Bravo! in the UK,
Bravo! Canada (Chum)
Bravo in the US (Rainbow Programming Holdings)

The focus is slightly different, but generally similar in all three in
terms of programming. The Canadian one leans a bit more toward older TV
shows like Prisoner, Fernwood and so on. The US Bravo channel leans
slightly more toward independant films and the arts, but all three seem
generally in the same vein, that of good (counterculture) taste.

Here's some info on the US Bravo channel.

* Bravo - the premier film and arts channel reaching 22 million
households. Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary, Bravo features the best
independent film, theater, dance, jazz, and profiles on the arts. *

Rainbow Programming Holdings,
a subsidiary of
CABLEVISION SYSTEMS CORPORATION

-from what I gleaned, based in NY, serving nyc and boston - about 55
million households on that network

The only address I could get in my short search was:

Rainbow Advertising Sales
Phone: 212-382-6133
530 Fifth Ave, 6th Floor
New York, NY 10036
Fax: 212-382-6128

Looks like we'll have to start a letter-writing campaign here in the US
as well.

P.S. seems many of the US channel links have been usurped by the Canadian
Bravo! channel, which doesn't help the 22 million US viewers of Rainbow's
Bravo much, as programming is of course entirely different.
