I am finally ready to do the dubbing of eps 7-20. Thanks to you who
responded to my last update. With 13 listmembers interested, the
duplication facility will make copies for us at $9.00 per tape, including
the blank tape and labels (so you know which tape has which episodes).
Figuring in tax and my transportation expenses, I'm asking for $60.00 for
each set of 6 tapes comprising episodes 7-20. The post Office will give me
perfectly sized boxes if I send these by Priority Mail, so figure in
another $5.00 for the shipping. That's a total of $65.00 and you should
keep the following in mind:
1. Tapes will be SP to SP for best quality, although they will still look
like they were taken off the tv (which indeed they were). Certainly good
enough to enjoy the episodes, but not "perfect" quality.
2. I will wait until Friday, May 30, 1997 for your payments. I will then go
to the duplication facility on Saturday, May 31 and order exactly as many
sets as I have payment for. Any payments received after Friday, May 31 will
be returned to the sender.
3. Our price of 9 bucks per tape is contingent upon my getting those 13
orders from people who told me they were definitely interested. If I don't
get at least 12 orders, the duplication facility may increase the price
slightly--they are a volume business, after all, so it's to our advantage
to order as many sets at one time as possible. Anyone who didn't respond to
my last update is welcome to send me an order; the more the merrier, and
I'm only doing this once.
4. The payment of $65.00 US dollars must be in the form of a money order or
certified bank check made payble to me, Timothy Keirnan. Sorry, no personal
checks allowed.
Send payment so it arrives to me by Friday, May 30th at

Turnaround should be about ten days. I figure you'll get your sets around
mid-June if all goes well, and I will certainly keep you updated on the
project's progress. Remember, this set of tapes is episodes 7-20, I'm not
doing 1-6 because those are still available commercially.
Email me with any questions you may have about any of this. For example, I
don't know right now what the shipping costs outside the US would be for
any non-US listmembers who may want a set of these NTSC tapes (sorry, no
PAL conversions). I'm not looking to make a profit on this deal, I'm just
fulfilling the promise I made to Micky when I bought the tapes. Imagine how
active the SB list will become when we can all talk about episodes in great
detail...
