Tina, Neil and Anton the Terrible

Dear fellow Sandbagger enthusiasts,

I think I'm supposed to be feeling duly chastised or something. Below, I've
copied a private email I received from Herr Sherwood in response to my post
(I've marked his responses with **). Judging from the other, far more
civilized mail in response to mine, I think it's safe to assume that the rest
of you understood my comments about the Tina Turner song, et al. I'm glad
you did, and thanks. It's good to know not everyone is devoid of imagination
Those of us who have been subscribed here for a long time have been treated
to Angry Anton's sour reprimands and attempted put downs in the past.
Everything (from repeating parts of earlier posts, to getting "off track" in
discussions) twists his knickers. So to you, Anton-- ENOUGH ALREADY! If
this kind of fluff is irritating to you, why take time out of your so
serious life to be on a TV show discussion list anyway?? Stop being such a
cranky old fart, take your medication and lighten up.

> : Reminds me of Tina Turner's song.........."What's love got to do with
it???"
: > : (Now I'm really dating myself--maybe no one here even remembers that
one!)
: >
:** > Well, the movie was only six years ago.
:
: A movie? The song's at LEAST 20 years old.

** So what? I hadn't heard it twenty years ago, any more than I had heard
the Third Brandenburg Concerto two hundred years ago.

: In any event, the comment pertained to the sentiment, not the music.
: Perhaps I should have labeled it as such.

**If the parenthesis about dating yourself (which is what provoked *my*
comment, in case that wasn't obvious) refers to the sentiment, then I
can't make head or tail of it.
