It's been a long time, but there is always hope. Another
UK series, Taggart (Scottish Television) had its star character,
Mark McManus, die in 1994. Despite what would appear to be a series-
ending fact, the remaining cast has been observed filming new
material. At least all the SB cast are still with us.
Neil would have to Deputy Chief by this time, as nobody
could survive being D-Ops for 16 more years. Matthew Peele would
certainly be knighted, and Jeff Ross would have certainly developed
lung cancer from continued chain smoking. Willie is the only
question mark.
