Rocking with the Dead Princesses...

I was recently going over some of the Diana/Paris speculation, and suggest
the following scene in Burnside's office:

WC (entering): Morning Boss.

NB: Willi.

WC: Have you, um, seen the stuff on Paris?

NB (frowns): I don't remember a signal from Paris Station...

WC: No, the news. About Dianna.

NB: Oh, that. What about it?

WC (carefully): Look, it wasn't one of ours was it?

NB: What wasn't?

WC: The accident.

NB: Nah. We'd have reason to hit her.

WC: I suppose not, but then that's what you'd tell me even if we did do
it. I mean, she was found in the car with al Fayed's kid, and they *are*
Libyans, and maybe it would have been preferable to the scandal if it had
been published that she'd been turned by the Mukhabarat...

NB: Don't be stupid. What would we get from killing Diana? Even if
she'd been doubled, she didn't have any access to confidential stuff, let
alone Top Secret or UK Eyes Alpha. Besides, it's bloody nearly impossible
to stage a car crash and be sure of a kill. Hit someone with a car, like
the Israelis did in Paris a few years ago, that's child's play. But
intentionally *wrecking* a car....

WC (turning to leave): I suppose. I just looked, you know, *funny*...

NB: Well it wasn't us. It was the Mukhabarat. They're after the al
Fayeds. Diana simply ... got in the way.
