Late Seventies. As I've said before somewhere, I worked at
the University of York at the time, and they filmed some
location shots at the University campus; Yorkshire
Television Studios being 20 miles down the road in Leeds.
I know the show was shot vaguely around 1978 to 1980...what I really meant=20
was exact shooting dates like 1st to 10th February 1978 for episode one (fo=
r=20
example..I made those dates up)..a bit retentive I know, but I want detail!

College 1990-93. I love the city...haven't recognised any of the campus so=20
far on THE SANDBAGGERS though.. actually I kind of assumed that the series=20
was shot totally in London, at the London bureau of Yorkshire TV, as it=20
were, what with all those Whitehall shots, views of Westminster etc..=20
shooting around Yorkshire would make sense though, wouldn't it?
One final thing...I read somewhere that Yorkshire TV got into trouble with=20
THE SANDBAGGERS, because the address we see on the envelope addressed to=20
Burnside on the opening titles of the show, was the ACTUAL..ie REAL address=
=20
of SIS, or MI5 or whatever. Can anyone confirm this?
